Church Events

Hunt’s Church has both religious and social church functions throughout the year.    Most of our events involve the local community.

Pancake Supper – Hunt’s holds a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper each year on the evening before Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent.  Members of the congregation gather together for pancakes and sausages and to share good fellowship, lively conversation, and a sing-along of favorite songs and hymns.

Easter Egg Hunt – Hunt’s hosts an annual Easter Egg Hunt open to the community every year.  The children enjoy refreshments and hunt for hidden plastic eggs containing candy, treats, and coins.

Vacation Bible School – Every year, Hunt’s holds VBS in June., and is open to children of church members, as well as children in the community.  Church members volunteer to teach the children and to lead activities including classroom studies, music, arts & crafts, and recreation.

Movies Under the Stars – Hunt’s hosts outdoor movie nights during the summer months, usually combined with a cookout for an evening of family fun.

Rally Day – We welcome our Sunday School teachers and children back from summer vacations.  We celebrate the reunion of teachers and students with a celebration luncheon after the Traditional Worship Service.

Summer Picnic and Campfire –  Held in September while the weather is still nice, we host a community picnic and campfire with Hunt’s community, preschool families, and friends.  Everyone’s welcome!

Fall Festival – Hunt’s Church and the Preschool host an annual Fall Festival for both Preschool and Hunt’s families with children (ages babies to Grade 5) for a day of fall fun.

Mulligans for Missions – The Missions Committee hosts an annual golf tournament as their primary fundraiser for missions projects.

Trunk or Treat – Hunt’s Church and Hunt’s Church Preschool together jointly host the annual Trunk or Treat.  Lots of neighborhood children enjoy the various car decorations in the safety of our parking lot.

Turkey Dinner – In November, Hunt’s Church hosts its largest and most successful event of the year.  The Annual Turkey Dinner serves a delicious Pre-Thanksgiving dinner to over 500 people.   The church welcomes everyone from surrounding communities to attend the family-style, sit-down dinner with family and friends.
